possums
The Australian native possum can be seen as a pest or as a friend, I like to see most animals as friends. The possum can turn into a friendly animal and loves to be fed. These are google found images however it shows how you can feed and get up close.
we've had them that quiet they will jump on us from the tree. They have amazing strength in their tail alone and it grips just like a hand does. Baby possums are just as enthusiastic about food as adult possums.

These look quite different than our opossums here. I cannot imagine having one drop on me! LOL I love animals but that would no doubt scare the heck out of me!
Yes they do look different than the opposums we have here, although I think they are both cute. :-)
As much as I love all critters I;m not sure about one dropping on me either.
I did have a pet chipmunk once. He lived in the wild, but he was very friendly and came looking for me.
